Individually crafted
Customization is key in this sector. The customer is invited to send examples or drawings of the parts for which packaging is required. Based on analysis of these and any specific requirements, our specialists create a design for prototyping and testing. We work side by side with each customer to ensure that the end result matches their expectations.
Support for watch repairs and servicing
We manufacture foam parts for specially tailored boxes for watches that need to be returned to the manufacturer for repair or servicing. These may incorporate a central foam support to secure the watch, an internal foam layer and a foam pad on the lid for shock absorption and dent protection, all depending on the customer’s needs.
If servicing is carried out by the retailer, or if individual components are being transported between the retailer and manufacturer, specific storage and protection solutions are needed. We manufacture tailored precision foam inlays to protect delicate parts such as hands and cogs, as well as small glass pieces and gems, from dust and friction damage.
Display and presentation boxes
Carpenter also works with packaging providers for point-of-sale packaging. We provide custom-designed foam elements that enhance protection and visual appeal in their designs.
Protecting the planet
Carpenter’s commitment to sustainable packaging begins with the foam materials, which can be manufactured using recycled ingredients. These include bio-polyols from different natural sources and recycled polyols derived from chemical recycling. We also can use mass balancing of raw materials via ISCC+, a ‘chain-of-custody’ approach which is helping to monitor the proportion of certified sustainable content throughout the supply chain. Our tailored approach leads to improved yield from foam materials and less waste from manufacturing.
