Polyurethane Foam
Carpenter began pouring foam in 1956, and today, we produce more flexible polyurethane foam than any other company in the world. Our vertical integration allows us to produce our own polyol and blend it at our own facilities, and we continuously invest in new equipment and innovative technologies to cut and shape our foam. With state-of-the-art production facilities across the globe, we are able to meet the most demanding production schedules.

Our Polyurethane Foams
North America
Aurora® foam is formulated with a wide-open cell structure, increasing the airflow by more than 50% compared to most higher airflow products in the market.
Avena® foam has been a trusted technology for more than 25 years. It is a flexible polyurethane foam that offers the feel and comfort of a latex foam.
Elate® foam introduces copper, graphite, and silver additives encapsulated in gel bead form and is treated for antimicrobial performance.
Similar to Serene® Foam, Hybrid Bliss® memory foam is less temperature sensitive than typical memory foam, leading to consistent comfort no matter the room temperature.
Hybrid TheraGel™ combines the properties of three of our best products: Serene® + Isotonic™ + TheraGel™ = Hybrid TheraGel™
A plush and supple memory foam, Intuition™ memory foam is the ultimate comfort layer, providing an elevated sleep experience.
This innovative foam offers the same great features of our classic Isotonic® memory foam grades plus enhanced performance and durability.
From office seating to luxurious home furnishing, Qualux® high resilience foams help make products more comfortable, durable, and marketable.
Serene® foam offers the best in comfort and support. It is soft, yet versatile; it can be used for pillows, toppers or as a traditional comfort or transition layer for mattresses.
Tranquil® foam is the most breathable memory foam on the market, with airflow measurements as high as 10 scfm.
Tranquility® foam is the most breathable active response foam on the market, providing 2x more airflow compared to other products.
EMEA
Richfoam™ polyether foams are conventional foams with an open cell structure. Offering great resilience and comfort, these foams are perfect for bedding, comfort upholstery, technical applications and packaging. A variety of grades are available, in a wide range of colors, densitities and firmnesses along with a selection of Richfoam® polyether fire retardant foams.
Richfoam™ RF is a fire retardant foam that meets MVSS 302. It can be used for acoustic and automotive applications or whenever fire safety is important.
Richlux® High Resilience foam, also known as cold foam, has a more comfortable feel than conventional polyether. In most cases, it also has better durability, and therefore is used in the upholstery of quality furniture. High Resilience foam has good dynamic load characteristics – this means that High Resilience Foam holds its shape for longer without collapsing.
Carpenter Naturalis® foam is Carpenter’s eco-friendly product in comfort innovation, and we offer four different types.
Carpenter Celsius® Viscoelastic Foam is a viscoelastic material with unique pressure-relieving and temperature-sensitive properties. This type of foam is ideal for mattresses, mattress toppers and pillows.
Carpenter Celsius® combustion modified viscoelastic foam is a viscoelastic material with unique pressure-relieving and temperature-sensitive properties. This type of foam is ideal for mattresses, mattress toppers and pillows.
These foams meet the requirements of the British Standard Fire Safety Regulations (BS 5852, Part 2, I.S. 5 or “crib 5”) and are available in a variety of grades. These foams are based on the formulations of conventional polyether, but their expected lifetime properties are higher than those of the CMHR foams.
Richguard® Combustion Modified High Resilience Foam combines high elasticity with fire retardant properties.
Richguard® fulfills the British fire safety regulations for hospital beds, and is currently being used in several hospitals in Great Britain. The foam does not contain brominated flame retardants.
Waterlily® foam is an environmentally-friendly, quality product in the High Resilience family, developed for bed and furniture manufacturers. The foam structure results in a springy, soft comfort, which makes it superior to high resilience foam.
Hypersoft™ Foam is a comfortable, soft foam type with good tensile strength and elongation properties. The softness makes this foam ideal for sofa cushions and toppers. The foam is hydrophilic which makes it ideal for use in producing wash wipes.
Serene® Foam led the way to a new era of foams and continues to be a pillar of true innovation. Different from memory foam, Serene® foam is not temperature sensitive, remaining plush and comfortable throughout the night.
