Hero (hee-ro) noun, plural Heroes – a person who, in the opinion of others, has special achievements, abilities or personal qualities and is regarded as a role model.

Julius Chiong & Luis Carrillo//Riverside

Julius Chiong and Luis Carrillo both showed their dedication and commitment to making Carpenter a success on February 22. Inclement weather prevented two polyol tankers from arriving until late in the day. Both of these tankers were needed so that foam could be poured the next day for our valued customers. Julius stayed late in the cold weather and supervised the offloading of both of these tankers. As always, he led by example and displayed an attitude of excellence in doing so. Luis also willingly stayed late in the cold weather and offloaded both of these tankers. These heroes always have a very positive attitude and accomplish tasks without complaint.

Rita Poling//Temple

Rita Poling has worn many hats during her 29 years at Carpenter. She was the Purchasing Manager for 16 years, and then was promoted to Office Manager overseeing Purchasing, Customer Service and the Receiving Department. Her skill set is diverse, as are her job responsibilities, which now include overseeing the Quality Department and being the Temple division Customers Service Champion. She represents Carpenter with pride and tenacity, and she ensures that Carpenter’s customers are serviced exceptionally well.

Nicole Sears//Russellville

Nicole is our National Bedding Coordinator and has been with the company for 18 years. Nicole's commitment to our customers is exceptional. We are constantly receiving compliments and praise from our customers about Nicole's professionalism in handling their accounts. They appreciate her patience and proactive approach when they are needing help solving a problem or are in need of timely information. Through all this, Nicole's knowledge of Carpenter's processes and manufacturing allows her to make solid decisions for both our customers and the company. She is our "go to" person for key information, and we are thankful every day to have her on our team.

Taylor Plant Management

On February 15, Tonni Talley, Doug Kuhl, and Lauren Reese noticed that an employee was not acting like themself. The group sprang into action using their First Aid/CPR training. The quick thinking and strong employee relations from the team made a significant impact during the medical emergency, and the team’s CPR/First Aid training provided the employee with the immediate care that they needed and potentially saved the employee’s life. Tonni, Doug, and Lauren are heroes in every sense of the word for their clear and concise actions. We are glad to have such a wonderful team here at the Taylor plant that takes the time to have great employee relations and is able to put their training to use in real world emergencies.
