Hero (hee-ro) noun, plural Heroes – a person who, in the opinion of others, has special achievements, abilities or personal qualities and is regarded as a role model.

Charlotte DeArmond
Russellville

In 2023, Charlotte DeArmond played a crucial role in leading the Russellville team to a score of 99.6% during the Costco audit. Charlotte celebrated 40 years with Carpenter on September 6, and throughout her time with the company she has worked in various roles such as Production Floor Operator, Receptionist, Purchasing Clerk, HR Specialist, QC Supervisor, and QC Manager. Currently, Charlotte serves as the Assistant HR Manager and interim Quality Manager. We are grateful for her attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement, which led to the audit’s success. We are proud to have her on our team!

Bobby Card
Tupelo

Bobby Card has worked for Carpenter for over six years as a Guard on first shift. Not only is he a Guard, but he goes above and beyond every day to make sure shipments are PGI’d and delivered on time. In addition, he helps with dispatching when needed. Bobby has taken on any task asked of him including spotting trailers, picking up the mail at USPS daily, and taking on extra shifts as needed. Bobby shows up to work, even when it’s snowing in Mississippi! His willingness to wear many hats and his commitment to Carpenter has exceeded all standards.

Sam Perkins
Temple

Sam Perkins has been a member of the Receiving team for eight years. When asked how he is today, he usually responds, “If I was any better, I couldn’t stand it.” Sam brings this positive attitude to work each day, and it radiates to everyone in his presence. He has gone above and beyond the line of duty over the past few months to keep Receiving running smoothly while the department is a staff member short. He is a good example of a team player, and the pride he takes in his work is contagious! Thanks, Sam, for a job well done.
